Metropolitan Anthony (Gergiannakis) was the first bishop of the Diocese of San Francisco of the Greek Archdiocese of America.

Life

He was born on March 2, 1935 in the village of Avgeniki on the island of Crete. He attended the Halki Theological School and was ordained a priest in September 1960. He did on December 25, 2004 in San Francisco.
