His Eminence Amvrosios II (Stamenas) of Paronaxia was the metropolitan of the Metropolis of Paronaxia under the jurisdiction of the Church of Greece. The metropolis is located within the Cyclades island group in the Aegean Sea. Metr. Amvrosios was metropolitan of Paronaxia from 1991 to 2008

Life

Amvrosios (Stamenas) was born in 1922 on the island of Paros. part of the Cyclades island group in the Aegean Sea. After completing his theological studies, he entered the Holy Orders in 1950 when he was ordained deacon. He was ordained a priest in 1955.

Father Amvrosios was elected to the episcopate in 1974 and consecrated Bishop of Kilkis on July 15, 1974. In 1991, Bp. Amvrosios was elected the metropolitan of the Metropolis of Paronaxia, as position he held until his repose on March 3, 2008.
