Alexander of Hierapolis, (Greek: Ἀλέξανδρος), was a bishop of Hierapolis in Phrygia, Asia Minor, during the mid third century. Little is known of his life. Alexander was one of a succession of ten bishops of Hierapolis. He was the author of a book titled On the new things introduced by Christ into the world (Greek: τί καινὸν εἰσήνεγκε Χριστός εἰς τὸν κόσμον. κεφ. θ') that is no longer extant.
