In recognition of his more than twenty years of “good and faithful" service as archpastor, at the March 2004 session of the Holy Synod, Bp. Job was elevated to the rank of archbishop.
Abp. Job unexpectedly reposed in the Lord on the morning of Friday, [[December 18]], from a bad case of walking pneumonia, for
which he had checked himself into the hospital shortly before. Funeral arrangements are still being made.
As of yet, the Holy Synod of the OCA has made no announcement as to who will be the ''[[locum tenens]]'' of the Midwest Diocese, nor when a replacement will be elected.
